Many people want to know how to make money by writing articles. I usually tell them that in order to make significant long-term money, they have to write one or more articles per day and keep at it for several months.

But what about the people who don’t want to make significant long-term money? Are you out of luck if you just want to make a few hundred quick bucks? Not at all. In fact, it is quite easy to make quick money on the Internet if you are skilled at writing articles.

Go to one of the large forums in your niche, I use Digital Point and Warrior Forum. Once there, go to the sections for general marketing discussions. Look for questions on marketing a product and offer to write articles to help them promote their product. Then, enter a post or two on each forum offering to write articles for others.

You will not get rich using this technique. But then, you said you only wanted to make a few hundred, right? Most people will pay $4 - $5 per article, depending on length, quality, etc. If you are experienced, you can probably write a 400 – 500 word article in about half an hour. Therefore, you can pretty easily write four articles per day. If we use the lower figure of $4 each, you will earn about $480 in a month using this technique.

All in all, if you are looking to make quick money writing articles, forums are you best bet. This method has the added advantage of allowing you to set your own terms. If a client needs 10 articles, you can write five on day one and require some or all of the payment on delivery. However, in most cases, people want to review the articles before completing the payment.

If you do not want to spend time in the forums, you can use one of the many companies on the Internet that pay you for your articles. However, you will not make much more from these companies because they receive a portion of your earnings on every sale you make. And, because these companies have so many authors writing for them, you would not make much money right away.

Market Your Ebook and Make Money

So you’ve written your ebook but what do you do now? How do you market an ebook and make money without spending an arm and a leg? I get this question all of the time. It seems that most people are at a loss when it comes to marketing their product.

The first thing you should do is develop your own affiliate program. With an affiliate program, you make money every time on of your affiliates sells your ebook. The more affiliates you get to join your program, the more money you will make. . In order to attract affiliates, post the information on your product at some of the affiliate directories. You can also recruit affiliates at marketing forums. There are many good affiliate programs out there. Two good affiliate programs are PayDotCom and ClickBank. You can find others by doing a search on your favorite search engine.

You should also consider using a pay-per-click program. Good pay-per-click programs can be found at Google, Yahho, MSN, and MIVA. There are also a number of other smaller players in this field that you can find by doing a search. Some of these smaller players offer good programs that are somewhat cheaper than programs offered by the bigger companies.

Pay-per-click advertising can bring targeted traffic to your website very quickly. However, set a tight budget and monitor your ROI (return on Investment). We’ve all heard the stories of people who spent thousands of dollars on pay-per-click programs and got few, if any sales. Keep a close eye on your budget and make sure that you don’t over-pay for the keywords that you select.

Another successful method to market your ebook is to write articles. With each article you write, include a link to your sales page. Article marketing works extremely well, but you have to submit articles on a regular basis. Writing just one or two a week won’t do you much good. To be really successful, you should write 1 to 5 articles every day. Submit them to the largest directory sites. The largest site is Ezinearticles.

By using the techniques described above, you can kick start your marketing program. And as things get rolling, commit some of your earnings back into additional marketing programs. This has a snowball effect. Before you know it, you’ll be making more money than you know what to do with.

Revenue Sharing Sites – How to Make Money Every Day

Many people want to make millions on the Internet. Although it is possible, most people make much, much less. However, there are millions of people who have much more realistic goals. They just want to make a little extra spending money each month. If that’s what you would like to do, you have come to the right place.

If you can write a 250 to 500-word article, you can make money every day, like I do. Using this technique, I make between $20 and $50 each month. I’ll admit, you won’t get rich using this method, but the extra money each and every month is very nice. I do this by submitting short 250 to 500 word articles to a number of revenue sharing sites.

A revenue sharing site is similar to a traditional article directory site with one major difference. Traditional article directories post advertisements along with the articles that people submit. Every time a visitor clicks on one of those ads, the site makes money. Revenue sharing sites also post ads along with the articles that people submit, but they share the income that they make from their advertising.

If you are going to submit articles anyway, why not submit to sites that are willing to give you some of the money that they earn. I submit articles to both traditional directories and revenue sharing directories. You can submit the same article to many different directories.

The way to maximize the amount of money that you make with revenue sharing sites is to submit articles frequently. The more articles you have on a revenue sharing site, the more money you will make. I try to submit at least one article every day. I have over 60 articles on each of the revenue sharing sites and, as I said, I make at least $20 a month. As far as I know, there is no limit on the maximum number of articles you can submit. So, if you’ve written 20 articles in the past month, why not upload them to a few revenue sharing sites and start making some money.

The only requirement to use the revenue sharing sites is that you need to have an account set up with Adsense. If you register with one of the revenue sharing sites and do not have an Adsense account, most of them have a link that allows you to register for Adsense.

Read This Before Developing Your Own Product!

Before you begin to develop your own product you must determine if there is a market for the product you intend to create. Sadly, many people do it backwards. They first create a product and then determine if a market exists. Or worse yet, they develop their product and begin to market it without doing any research at all. It is only when sales fail to materialize that they realize that there is no demand for their product.

Developing your own product requires quite a bit of effort and time on your part. In most cases, it takes somewhere between four and six weeks to develop a product and get it ready to market. What a shame to invest all of that time and work only to realize too late that no market exists for your product.

Unfortunately, this is due, in large part to flawed advice. Many so-called experts say that you should write about what you love. This is nonsense. Before you decide to write an ebook and invest your hard earned money, time, and effort, do some research. Is there really a market for an ebook on picking wild mushrooms?

If you are thinking about creating your own product, it is important for you to make sure that you have come up with a product that consumers will actually be interested in. Therefore, you need to understand the importance of doing some market research before you attempt to develop and bring a product to the market.

You do not want to invest a great deal of money, time, or effort in a product line unless and until you have confirmed that there is a demand in the marketplace for your product.

There are a number of ways that you can do this preliminary research. Start out by doing a simple search on Google or your search engine of choice. If your search comes up empty, that is a warning sign. In that case you can almost be certain that an ebook on that topic would fail to earn any substantial profits.

Next, use the pay per click websites to check on the price of the keywords that are related to your ebook. It is a good sign if you see numerous keywords that cost several dollars. If advertisers are paying two and three dollars per keyword, there is a good likelihood that they are making money in that niche. If that is the situation, you may have found a profitable subject.

Only after you determine that a viable market exists for your product should you go ahead and invest the money, time, and effort required to develop your own ebook.

Easy Techniques to Perfect Your Sales Page

Many people spend months writing the perfect ebook and then have no idea how to write a sales page. I spend a fair amount of time researching information on various forums, and I frequently see postings from people asking how to write the perfect sales page. Too many people try to get everything absolutely perfect before they even attempt to go live with their sales page.

From my experience, the solution to this problem is quite simple. Just do it! Develop your sales page over the course of a week. Don’t spend more time on it than that. Many people spend months tweaking this and fixing that. That’s just foolish. You’ll never get your sales page perfect so don’t even try.

Don’t waste a lot of time trying to get your sales page absolutely perfect. I recently spoke with someone who said that they worked on their sales page for four months! Imagine the sales that they lost during that time. Even a poorly designed sales page will generate some sales.

If you need help developing your sales pages, use a sales page generator. You can find a large list of them by doing a search. Many of them are available free of charge.

Get a workable sales page up and running and then go to relevant forums and ask experienced people to critique it. Sometimes these critiques can be painful, but the additional sales that you make for years to come make it all worthwhile. I’ve used this technique a number of times and the results have been great.

If you are unsure how to develop a good sales page, visit the sales pages of your top two or three competitors. Take notes on their style and the points that they cover. Don’t copy their page word for word, that would be plagiarism, which is illegal. Take notes and rewrite the information using your own words. Stay with traditional fonts like verdana. Don’t try to be fancy or funny. Your sales page is not a place for jokes or funny stories. It is not designed to amuse people; it is designed to sell your product. That is it’s only function.

Don’t try to use eye-catching colors. I have never seen this done successfully. Use traditional colors; plain white is best. When you become the next Internet Guru making millions, you can experiment with more exotic sales pages. Until then, be conservative and stay with traditional methods. And above all, just do it!

The way to make consistent money on the Internet is to develop a large and growing list. If you are serious about earning money on the Internet, you must learn how to build your own list. After all, your income starts with your list! But the problem is, how do you get that list if you are just starting out?

Here are a few simple strategies that you can use to build your list:

First of all, look at what your competitors are doing. Find out how they gather email addresses. This technique may provide you with insight as to what appeals to your target audience. It allows you to see what types of tactics are working for others in your field. In addition, if your competitor has been using these same techniques for an extended period of time, it’s likely that it is a winning strategy. After all, they would not continue to use techniques that didn’t work.

Ideally, you should have an opt-in (squeeze) page on your website. This is a page that is specifically designed to capture the name and email address of your customers. In addition, add a sign-in box on every page of your site. Your website is usually the first place people look when they want information about your business. Don’t miss the opportunity to subscribe to your list when they visit your website.

Send a follow-up email after an order is placed and ask if they want to join your list. This can be a particularly effective method to grow your list.

Offer an incentive for signing up. Locate a free gift, or something of value and offer it to individuals subscribing to your list. Your giveaway doesn’t have to be costly; it can be as simple as a free report or sharing your expertise in the form of a newsletter you publish.

Run a contest. Let your contacts know that they will get one entry in a drawing for each person they refer to your list. Of course, the better the prize, the better your response.

Partner with a related business or organization. Think of a business or organization that’s related to your business, but isn’t a competitor. Work together to promote each other’s e-mail communications to your customers. Some good partnership examples are a tax accountant and a financial planner, a public relations firm and a website designer, or a theater and a nearby restaurant. Highlight your partner as a guest writer in your newsletter and ask that they do the same for you. At the end of each article, invite readers to join that author’s e-mail list.

Do you have articles on your website or on other websites? Do you have your own blog? Include a link that takes readers to your squeeze page. Your copy can say something like: “Do you like this article/blog? Get more just like it sent directly to your inbox. Subscribe today by clicking the link.”

Forums provide a very good source to get information on a product, service, or company before you make a purchase. People are more than happy to give you their opinion on products or companies that they are familiar with.
Forums can be very beneficial to the experienced marketer as well as the newbie. The most beneficial forums are those related to your site or niche. Seek out those related forums and you will surely see increased traffic and sales.

Unfortunately, many ebooks with nice descriptive titles sit on someone’s hard drive collecting digital dust, and making very few sales. Describing the content of your ebook is not enough. If you want to drive sales of your ebook, you must use a title that entices viewers to see more. Use the techniques below to generate interest in your ebook.

1) Research keywords related to your ebook that people are currently using in their Internet searches. This is important because it tells you what people are interested in today. If your title satisfies that interest, you will attract buyers. There are several websites that provide this sort of up-to-date information.

2) The type of ebook you write is also very important in acquiring readers. The most popular ebooks solve a problem. The more severe the problem, the higher your sales. Spend some time in forums and determine what problems people are having. Provide a solution in your ebook. In many cases, adding a chapter or two on this subject to your existing ebook is all you need to do.

2) Certain words and phrases naturally attract attention. Make sure you use at least some of them in your title. Some of these attention-getting words are: secret, big, profit, and money. Of course, there are many others. One easy way to find them is to look at your junk email file. Search among the subject lines to see which ones jump out at you and write them down. Consider using some of those attention-grabbing words in your title.

By using the techniques above, you can make substantially more money with your ebook. Remember, your title must compel readers to go to your sales page. And of course, your sales page must covert buyers at an acceptable rate.

4 Easy Steps that Quadrupled my article’s URL Clicks

A while back, I was doing some research on how my articles performed. I compared page views, ezines published, and URL clicks over the course of one month. The first article received 128 views, 6 ezines published, and 4 URL clicks. The second article got 63 page views, 4 ezines published, and 14 URL clicks. Article 2 had 4 times the URL clicks while achieving just one half the page views. That means that article 2 had 8 times as many URL clicks on a per reader basis. I was surprised at the substantial difference in URL clicks, especially since article 1 contained 3 links and article 2 had just 2 links. First of all, what were the similarities?

Both Resource boxes were 4 lines long.

Both contained html code (a href only)

Both offered a “FREE REPORT”

The last sentence in each box contained a URL link.

What were the differences in the resource Boxes that, in my opinion, led to such dramatic differences and what are the key steps to increasing URL clicks in your Resource Box ?

1) Place the first URL link in the first sentence of your Author’s Resource Box. Never put it the second or third sentence. I believe that this is the primary factor that led to such a dramatic difference in URL clicks.

2) Make sure that initial URL is near the front of the sentence and appears on the first line of print in the article. After looking at both articles, I noticed that the URL in article 1 popped out at me. In article 2, when the URL was in line 2, it was sorted of hidden away.

3) Stress the benefits that the reader will receive by downloading your FREE REPORT. There is no need to mention the name of the report unless it is an easily recognizable name. Stress how the download can benefit the reader and how it can solve their problems. This can be particularly effective if the article discusses the problem your link solves.

4) More links are not necessarily better. In this case, the article with just 2 links performed much better than the one with 3 links. Placement is much more important than quantity.

Since doing this research, I follow the four key steps above and have noticed a gradual increase in the number of URL clicks achieved.

Achieving Success With Your Internet Business

1) They develop and sell their own products. Having your own product is the biggest factor in achieving success. You must have your own products in order to excel. In addition, they allow others to sell their products for them on an affiliate basis.

2) They work (or did work) long hard hours to get their websites and income to the current levels.

3) They keep meticulous records. They track all results and do more of the stuff that is working and eliminate the stuff that isn’t. It’s important to know what you are doing right.

4) They are not afraid to spend money and reinvest a portion of their profits back into their business. They have no problem buying advertising, domain names, good hosting, software, and information. You’ve got to spend money in order to make it.

5) They pay talented people to take care of the details on their numerous websites. They pay others to take care of the more mundane day-to-day issues. This frees up their time to work on items that they believe to be more important, like developing new products.

Follow the five steps above and you too you can be successful. Of course there is no guarantee that you will reach the status the top twenty percent. But you might be able to see an increase of thirty or forty percent from your current income levels. By working hard, you have taken the first step toward achieving success. Most successful people have worked very hard to earn what they have. Copy the efforts of those successful individuals and someday, people new to the business may try to imitate you.
