Different article writing websites, different benefits

Oocuz.com shares 100% of the ad benefits with its users. That sounds positively great! Up to now I have been working with some other services to fill up AdSense account, but never have I seen a service with 100% sharing. So I decided to give it a try, and I enlisted as The Badger (normally I write as The Incredible Badger, but that seems to be too long for WordPress…).

Of course, the usefulness of an article writing website depends on a couple of things:

• Percentage of revenue sharing
• Design and functionality of the site
• Ability to attract traffic
• Overall quality of articles

Revenue sharing
This is the percentage that is shared with the user. The higher the better because it means more income for the user.

Design and functionality
This should be taken in consideration very carefully. The placement of the ads around articles, the user-friendliness of the website and the general page design will be an important factor in getting visitors to return to the website. Another important factor for content specific ad programs like AdSense, is the content that is standard there on every page. If the websites framework involves many words like ‘make money online’ etc, the ad sections are likely to display ads related to this as well, and are less likely to be catered to the content of the article. Thus, a service’s framework should be as neutral as possible.

Ability to attract traffic
A website can look perfect and share a high percentage of its income, but if no-one will read them, all the effort is useless. Therefore, a website should work on its promotion, have many back-links, and in general should become popular.

Quality of the articles
The overall quality of the services content is important as well, because it helps in attracting visitors. If a website succeeds in building a good image, popularity will increase, as will traffic and eventuality income.

What this means for Oocuz.com is still to be seen, as the service is relatively new. It seems to have good and lesser points. Of course, with its 100% sharing, the first point is very positive. Also the design of the website makes a good impression, the ads have good locations, the website looks professional, and articles are relatively easy to find. The ability to attract traffic is currently still quite low, since the website is quite unknown. This however is a point that could improve rapidly. The overall quality of the websites content seems okay, there are not many crappy entries.

For me this means that Oocuz.com could have quite some potential. I will place some articles, and see what it brings me. I must say, however, that I will also still make use of my other favorite service, Xomba. Although the revenue sharing is not as great as for Oocuz.com, it is quite a big site that generates a lot of traffic. Thus, my articles get noticed there much better, which helps my income. But if traffic starts picking up for Oocuz.com, however long this might take, it does have quite good papers.
